During a recent visit to Accra, Ghana, Mayor Wood and the Derrick Wood Foundation received multiple international honors, including:

- Obrempong Award for Leadership and Community Impact
- Kwame Nkrumah Award for Pan-African Leadership
- Recognition from Inspired Women Conference 2026
